Bellvale Pinot Grigio 2013

Review by Campbell Mattinson – Winefront

It’s grigio in style and yet it doesn’t lack texture or flavour. This is a goodun’. It tastes of pears and apples with various spice and fruit blossom notes. It carries a gentle pink hue too, bless it. Just the ticket if you’re in the market for a pinot grigio.

Huon Hooke review

Listed in Huon’s January 2014 newsletter - “….As I’ve said before, each time I do a Pinot Grigio tasting there are more wines that impress me, and fewer of the over-sweet, bland, watery ones. This time I really enjoyed…” …and Bellvale Pinot Grigio was listed with his favourites.

Actual review

Light coppery coloured . The aromas are a tad funky and lacking freshness. There's a touch of sulfide. The palate is intense and firm , bone-dry and tight, withconcentration and length. In shape, it's leanish and elegant, and well balanced. It's very dry, but teh chalky texture is good. This is a left field style which is full of interest and pushes the boundaries . It's also a very good drink.
